Family Support Program
In collaboration with the Department of Child Services and Allen County Juvenile Center, CHOICES, and SCAN (Stop Child Abuse and Neglect), Amani’s home-based services are provided to aid in the healthy integration of refugee and immigrant families. All services are provided with the awareness of the rich cultural and personal strengths each individual and family brings as they partner to work with Amani towards their goals
WHAT: Intervention and prevention services for immigrants and refugee families
WHO: Any family referred through DCS, ACJC, CHOICES, or SCAN
REFERRAL PROCEDURE: Referrals are court ordered through DCS, ACJC, or CHOICES, or referred through SCAN’s Community Partners program.
Community Partners
In partnership with SCAN, we offer Community Partners services as support for families with children ages 17 or younger living in the home. We can also serve families when they are prenatal or if they have an 18 year old still in school. This program, administered by SCAN, funded by the Indiana Department of Child and Family Services, provides assessments and home-based case management services to connect families to resources to strengthen the family. Families work with their case managers on mutually established goals to move the individuals and family unit towards economic and family stability. Through this program, families can access services such as:
- Housing crisis assistance
- Financial education and planning
- Home scheduling assistance
- Navigation of a medical diagnosis
- Job Search
- And so much more!

Families who have experienced Domestic Violence have faced a specific kind of trauma that can be insidious. These services provide education and support to assist families in moving forward and building healthy relationships in the future.Father Engagement Services

This service engages fathers to become role models for their children and to be active participants and active and effective parents to their children.Supervised Visitation
While there may be times that DCS is concerned for a child’s safety with a parent, the parent/child relationship is so important that providing visitation with supervision can allow a parent and child to carry on their relationship with staff present to ensure safety and support for the child.Interpretation Services
